BEAL CITY SCHOOLS COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Beal City Public School employs two counselors to support students from kindergarten through grade 12. The counselors work with students in a variety of settings including classrooms, small groups, and individual counseling.  More detailed information about these outreach efforts is included in the Counseling Services section below.  In addition to these outreach efforts, the counseling department is involved with class scheduling, standardized testing, scholarships, graduation requirements, dual enrollment, post-secondary applications, and other related student support services.

Meet the Counseling Department Staff

MRS. SARA MILLEROV, K-12 COUNSELOR
smillerov@bealcityschools.net

I have been an Aggie since 2010 and proud to now have my 3 young children attending school here!  I grew up in the thumb and moved to this area in 2001 to attend college at CMU. I have a bachelors in Secondary Education and a Master's degree in Counseling, both from Central.  Prior to my time at Beal I worked as a counselor at Vestaburg High School.  Outside of school I love to go camping with my family and travel.  I also love coffee, reading, and watching movies.

MRS. LEIGHA COMPSON, K-12 COUNSELOR

I am thrilled to be a part of the Counseling Department for Beal City Schools! I grew up on a cattle farm in Central Michigan, but I moved away for about 15 years after high school due to college and a career opportunity in Illinois. I attended Hope College and Western Michigan University. My husband and I have two young boys and I love hiking, skiing, traveling, and coffee. I'm looking forward to a great year!

MRS. KELLY SCHAFER
COUNSELING DEPARTMENT SECRETARY

My name is Kelly Schafer and I have worked in the Athletic/Counseling office since 2007. My husband, kids and I are graduates of Beal City High School and in May all 3 of our children will also be graduates of CMU. I am the face you see when you enter the counseling office and would be happy to help with whatever you may need.
