Interim Superintendent Mike Pung

Beal City Schools would like to introduce Michael Pung as our Interim Superintendent.  Mike graduated from Beal City Public Schools in 1972 and received both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Ferris State University.   Mike was hired by Mt. Pleasant Public Schools in 1995 as their Associate High School Principal and the Career Technical Education Director.  He was then named the Superintendent of Mt. Pleasant Public Schools in July of 2011. After his retirement from Mt. Pleasant, he was employed with the Wolgast Corporation until August, 2020. 


Mike and his wife, Loretta have been married for 50 years.  They have three children:  Tracy, Kimberly and Michael.  They also have 8 grandchildren:  Zachary, Gabe, Ben, Breanna,    Madisyn, Cameron, Michael and Brooklynne. 


Mike enjoys playing music, camping, boating and spending time with his family.  He also    enjoys following his grandchildren’s sporting and school events.  Mike has travelled to Japan, Germany and Hawaii and has travelled to many of the continental states.  By far, his favorite place to visit is Hawaii.
