4:00 - JV Baseball - Home against Midland Dow
The varsity boys’ baseball team took a tough loss to Swan Valley last night, 13-0 in five innings. Cuyler Smith (0-1) took the loss. Garrison Zuker had a double and Will McClintic added a single. The second game was called due to darkness. The team is now 0-3. Up next is an away game at Cass City on Saturday against Yale. First pitch is set for 12:00.
The middle school track team had their first meet against Clare and Merrill yesterday and put together some impressive performances after starting practice earlier this week! Notable finishes include:
Taylor Sanders placing 2nd in the 70m, 2nd in the 200m, and 4th in the 100m
Madalyn Finnerty getting 4th in the 70m
Paige Helmer getting 3rd in the 2 mile
Avery Schultz finished 2nd in shot put and beat her PR from last year in the 100m
Olivia Krueger placed 3rd in the mile and 2nd in the 2 mile
Evelyn Schafer finished 3rd in the 200m, 2nd in the 400m, and won long jump
The middle school boys’ track team had their first meet in Clare last night. The following are some notable achievements for their first meet:
Josiah Theilen - 2nd in 70m and 200m
Zachary Schafer - 4th in 70m
Ryder Sternquist - 4th in the 100m and 3rd in the 400m
Conley Bland - 4th in the 800m, 2nd in the mile and 3rd in the 2 mile
Liam Millerov - 2nd in the 55m hurdles and 4th in the 200m hurdles
Ben Levesque - 4th in the shot put
Brady Gross - 3rd in the long jump
Detention today will be held in Mrs. Butkovich’s room starting at 3:00.
Attention Aggie Ladies: There is a free women’s self-defense class taking place on Saturday, April 18th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in our small gym. There are limited spots available, so please consider signing up soon to ensure your spot for this important course. Seniors: It’s time to sign up for the senior water game! Please sign up in the office by 3:00. Cost is $5 to play.
Reminder that prom tickets are only on sale until April 17th to guarantee a T-shirt. Please buy them from Mrs. Rider in the art room. Tickets are $20!
Students who plan to bring a guest from another school to prom need to pick up a guest pass from Diane in the office. Guest passes are due to Diane by Friday, April 17th.
