MS/HS ANNOUNCEMENTS - 5/18/26

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CUYLER SMITH AND MASON YATS! WE HOPE YOU BOTH HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Varsity track and field teams competed at regionals on Saturday in Fowler. The boys team tied for fourth place out of 16 teams, scoring 57 points. The following athletes were all region (top 8):

Collin Gross- 8th in 400

Logan Funnell- 5th in 1600

Conner Fenton-regional runner-up and state qualified in the 800

Landon Davis- 3rd in 100 and runner-up in 200, early qualified in both events to advance to the state meet

Aaron Locke-Regional champion in both Pole vault and the 400 m dash, Having early qualified in both events. Aaron broke the school record that’s been on the board since 2003 in the 400, running a 50.20.

4x400 Won the regional, having early qualified as well to advance to the state meet. (Landon Davis, Logan Funnell, Conner Fenton, Aaron Locke)

The ladies were 5th in the regional out of 15 teams, scoring 53 points.  All-region for the ladies:

Molly Trommater-6th in 100 hurdles

Johanna hubble-8th in 100

Ellie Bowerman-7th in 800

Ella Pastotnik-4th in long jump

Dylan Gillespie-5th in long jump

Lily Gross-5th in high jump

Addison Fussman-6th in high jump

Bryn Gilde-Early qualified in both events; she was 6th shot put on Saturday and regional runner-up in discus

Jaylyn Sisco-qualified for state finals, placing 3rd in discus

Kate Schultz-3rd in shot put and 4th in discus, advancing to state finals in both events

4x100-5th place and is advancing to state finals, (Ella Pastotnik, johanna hubble, Dylan Gillespie, Lily Gross)

Detention today will be held in Mrs. Block’s room starting at 3:00.

Congratulations to the drama club cast and crew for their fabulous performance of Whole Latte Love this weekend! Everyone did a fantastic job! And thanks to everyone who came to support us!

All middle school and high school students interested in participating in cross-country in the fall, sign up sheets are posted outside the athletic office. There will be an information meeting on Wednesday, May 20th at middle school and high school lunch in Ms. Hernandez’s old classroom (next to the office). Join us as we prepare for another great season!  

NHS will be hosting a blood drive this Wednesday, May 20th from noon to 5:45 at the KC Hall in Beal City. Students who are 16 years or older who meet the minimum requirements can donate with parent permission. See Ms. Gohs for more details.
