4:15 - Varsity Baseball & Softball - Home against Roscommon

The softball team split with Zeeland West last night losing game one 4-9 and winning game two 11-5. Emily Taylor went 3 for 3 in game one with 2 RBI’s. Dakota Dodak and Emma Block both went 2 for 3. Macy Johnston took the loss in the circle. In game two, Lauren Gross went 2 for 3, Macy Johnston went 3 for 4, Aubrey Thielen went 2 for 4, and Addy Sanders went 2 for 3. Emma had a home run and Dakota was the winning pitcher striking out 5.

The Aggies hosted a conference meet last night against Manton and Houghton Lake. Both teams lost to Manton, however, the boys team beat Houghton Lake 85/58 , and the girls beat Houghton Lake 90/48.

Event Winners for the night include:

Landon Davis – 400

Aaron Locke – Pole vault

Bree Locke – 800 & 1600

 Molly Trommater – 100 hurdles 

Bryn Gilde – shot put

Ladies 4x400 (Johanna Hubble, Molly Trommater, Eden Strong, Bree Locke)

Seniors: Several of you still need to submit your senior picture to Mrs. Bleise for the class composite. Please try and send her your picture ASAP. 

All dodgeball money is due to Mr. Clark tomorrow!

The NHS walk-a-thon is this Thursday during 3rd and 4th hour. Students need to bring at least $10 in donations to their third hour teacher on Thursday in order to participate. Students not participating will either remain in their regular classroom or work in the library.

4:15 - Varsity Track - Home against Houghton Lake and Manton

4:00 - Varsity Softball  - Away against Zeeland - Bus departs at 1:00 - No tech for varsity softball today

The softball team improved to 12-2 on the season after splitting with Evart Friday night. They lost game one 2-6. Macy McKenny went 2 for 2 and Arryana Brown had a home run. Macy Johnston went 2 for 3 and took the loss in the circle. They won game two 8-3. Arryana, Madason Fisher, Dakota Dodak, and Macy M all had 2 hits in the game. Emily Taylor had a home run. Macy J was the winning pitcher.

The varsity baseball team earned two solid games over Evart Friday night, 8-0 and 9-2.  In game one Cuyler Smith (3-1) recorded the win, throwing 6 innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 11. Eric Elias as 2-2 with a double and 3 RBI’s. Will McClintic was 2-2 with an RBI. Cuyler and Cole Tilmann added a pair of doubles.  In game 2, Blake Walcutt (2-0) recorded the win throwing 5 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 10. Blake was 2-3 with a triple and 2 RBI’s. Cuyler Smith added 2 hits and Garrison Zuker and Caleb Lehnert doubled for the Aggies. Drew Gross singled and scored a run. Braxton Butkovich singled and scored a run. Your Aggies are now 6-4 and 4-0 in the Highland. Up next is Roscommon at home on Tuesday at 4:15. 

The varsity track and field teams competed well Friday night in Mount Pleasant in a very competitive meet… Big highlight… Aaron Locke broke a 13-year-old school record in pole-vault, vaulting 13'1"! Congratulations, Aaron! Aggies are hosting the third Highland conference double dual tonight, so come out and support!

The middle school girls track team went up against 10 other teams Friday at the Alma Panther Invite. Medalists include: Avery Schultz 2nd in shot put, Cylie Tilmann 3rd in the 100m, and the 4x200m relay team of Lily Wilson, Rylinn Pastotnik, Aylin Reihl, and Cylie Tilmann finishing 3rd. Additional congratulations to the following MEGASTAR qualifiers: Avery Schultz in Shot put, with a throw of 32 feet, and Cylie Tilmann in the 100m, running 13.70 seconds.

Friday night the middle school track team competed against several large schools.  The middle distance relay team of Bland, Fair, Gatrell and Hadder ran a tough race and earned medals, Eli Baumann had a stand out performance in part of the distance medley team, making up ground and earning his relay team members a medal.  Lastly, Grady Gatrell set a PR and took first in the 200 hurdles.

All dodge ball team money is due to Mr. Clark by this Wednesday the 30th.
