Rekey Interior & Exterior Doors Project
Project Information
Sealed bid proposals will be accepted from qualified contractors by Beal City Public Schools for the 2026 Rekey interior and exterior doors project. Proposals may be mailed or delivered in person to:

Pre-Bid Meeting
There will be a walk-through of the school to see the project scope on March 16, 2026 at 3 pm, meet in the Administration Office.
Bid Information
Proposals must be received prior to 2:45 PM (local time) on April 10, 2026 at the Beal City Public Schools (BCPS) Administration Office. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud on April 10, 2026 at 3:00PM in the Beal City Public Schools in the Administration Office. All bids received after 2:45 PM on the bid date will not be accepted and will be returned to the Bidder unopened.
Proposals and Award
All contracts for this project will be direct contracts with BCPS. Overall administration of the Project will be the responsibility of BCPS. BCPS will award contracts on or about April 20, 2026. Bids will be evaluated based on price, contractor qualifications, experience with similar work, and the best overall value to the District.
Plans and Questions
There are no technical drawings or plans for this project. Most questions should be able to be addressed during the walk through March 16, 2026. This project is to remove our existing door key system with a new master door key system. All bidders will be required to comply with Michigan laws, registered to do business in Michigan, provide proof of insurance, submit to a background check to work on school grounds under MCL 380.1230 & 380.1230a.
Bid Security
A Bid Security will not be required for this project.
Familial Disclosure
All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or the employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive officer of the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement.
Owners Rights
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bid proposals, which they feel to be in their own best interest.
