Beal City Public Schools is excited to welcome Kayla Hernandez as our newest teacher! (December 15, 2025) Kayla joins our Aggie family with a passion for reading, writing, and making a difference in the lives of students.
Originally from Odessa, Texas, Kayla is a Central Michigan University graduate (Class of 2025), earning her Bachelor of Science in English Education. She now calls Mt. Pleasant home, where she lives with her partner and their two children.
When she’s not in the classroom, Kayla enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her kiddos—and fun fact: she read 100 books in one year! Her favorite quote, “Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” by William James, perfectly reflects her heart for education.
