🚌 Keep Our Students Safe: School Bus Traffic Laws 🟡🔴
As our buses head out on the roads, please remember these critical safety guidelines to protect students boarding and exiting buses:
🟡 Flashing Yellow Lights: The bus is preparing to stop. Slow down and prepare to stop your vehicle.
🔴 Flashing Red Lights & Stop Arm: The bus has stopped to load or unload students. You MUST stop at least 20 feet away from the bus!
When do you need to stop?
Two-Lane & Multi-Lane Roads (no median): Traffic in both directions must stop.
Divided Highways (with a physical median/barrier): Only traffic traveling in the same direction as the bus must stop.
NEVER pass a bus with its red lights flashing. Violating school bus laws carries steep fines and puts lives at risk. Let's work together to keep every student safe! 💛

The Big Buddy Program pairs our older students with younger peers to build mentorship, friendship, and a stronger school community. From helping with homework to being a friendly face in the hallway, these "Big Buddies" are making a world of difference every single day.

A huge THANK YOU to the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and Tribal Council for their incredible generosity during this fall’s 2% Grant Distribution Cycle!
Beal City Schools was awarded 29 individual staff-submitted grants, totaling $226,394.31. This is the largest single-cycle grant award our district has ever received from the Tribe, and we are truly grateful for their continued support of our students, staff, and community.
These grants will fund a wide range of needs across the district—including technology upgrades, classroom and library furniture, instructional materials, social-emotional supports, classroom supplies, and many other resources identified by our dedicated staff.
We deeply appreciate the Tribe’s commitment to helping us create outstanding learning environments for all of our students. Thank you for investing in Beal City Schools!

Keeping our students safe is a top priority. When the bus’s red lights are flashing, STOP — a child’s safety depends on it!
We’re proud to share this important message from the Michigan Association for Pupil Transportation (MAPT) and RFK Race Car Driver Ryan Preece, reminding drivers to Stop on Red and help protect our kids every day.
