Welcome, Ms. Lindsay Hornbacher

The Beal City School community is excited to extend a warm welcome to our newest Middle/High School ELA teacher, Lindsay Hornbacher. Hailing from Sand Lake, Michigan, she brings passion for literature, a love of learning, and a wealth of enthusiasm to our classrooms this year.

Lindsay began her higher education journey by earning her Associate of Applied Science degree at Montcalm Community College before completing her Bachelor's degree at Central Michigan University. She has three years of teaching experience at Grant High School and four years of experience as a substitute teacher.

Outside of school, you might find her engaging in a wide variety of hobbies. She's an avid reader, enjoys playing video games, board and card games, and has a knack for organization. In fact, one of her hidden talents is putting together furniture (think IKEA-level mastery!). In her favorite video games like Minecraft, she enjoys giving her digital animals creative names.

A Note from Ms. Hornbacher:
"I’m thrilled to join the district this year teaching 10th/11th grade ELA and our 8th/9th grade Novel to Film Study elective. Coming into my 4th year of teaching after time at Grant Public Schools, I immediately felt the warmth and support of this community. I can’t wait to grow personally and professionally with our students and staff this year. Go Aggies!

Please join us in giving Ms. Hornbacher a warm Aggie welcome to the Beal City Community!
