Our school community has a big reason to celebrate! Mrs. Butkovich has officially been selected as the June 2026 recipient of the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Golden Apple Award, co-sponsored by 95.3 WCFX.

This prestigious award recognizes mid-Michigan educators, staff, and school community members who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership, and care in their work with students.

What makes this honor especially meaningful is that it originated directly from the heartfelt nomination submitted by her own student, Kayley M.

When describing Mrs. Butkovich’s dedication, her students shared:

"She never gave up on any of her students, even when we were struggling or having a hard time understanding."

"She was always patient and kept encouraging us to keep trying. She didn't just care about our grades she cared about us as people"

As part of the recognition, representatives from the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club and 95.3 WCFX present her with a special prize package provided by local business sponsors.
