Hello, Aggies! I'm David Farley, and I'm proud to serve as the Principal of Beal City Middle School and High School.

I grew up in Lexington, a small community in Michigan's Thumb along the shores of Lake Huron. I earned bachelor's degrees in Economics and Secondary Education from the University of Michigan–Flint, followed by a master's in Principalship and an Education Specialist degree in Central Office Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University.

I began my career teaching high school social studies and science at Buena Vista High School in Saginaw before moving into administration, where I served as both an elementary and middle school principal.

My philosophy centers on three promises to students: We will know you. We will challenge you. We will prepare you. In return, I ask students to show up, get involved, challenge themselves, and leave our school better than they found it.

Outside of school, my wife, Rachel, and I stay busy with our two boys, Max and Rex. We enjoy hiking, mountain biking, camping, snowboarding, and cheering on our boys at their soccer games.

I'm excited to be part of the Beal City community and its proud traditions.

Autume is a proud graduate of Central Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She brings over 16 years of experience in law enforcement, where she held various roles, many of which were in leadership positions. During her time in law enforcement, Autume also taught cultural diversity at the police academy, demonstrating her commitment to fostering understanding and inclusivity. Additionally, she has worked in schools and played a key role in establishing and fostering a youth police academy, further showcasing her dedication to youth development and education.

In addition to her career in law enforcement, Autume and her husband, Greg, founded The Jump Station, a successful venture that Autume managed and operated until its sale. This entrepreneurial experience further highlights her dedication, innovation, and ability to lead effectively.

Autume is married to Greg, and together they have three wonderful children: Reece, Avery, and Kylie. The Balcom family resides in Lake Isabella, where they enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as boating, skiing, camping, and attending sporting events. They also love to vacation together, cherishing family time and new adventures.

As Assistant Principal, Autume Balcom brings a unique blend of experience and dedication to our school community. We are confident that under her leadership, our school will continue to thrive and reach new heights. Greetings, Aggies! My name is Diane Fussman and I am the High School and Middle School Secretary. I am a life-long resident of the Beal City area and grew up on a dairy farm just outside of town. Growing up I was the youngest of 14 children...yes 14! I graduated from Beal City High School in 1991 and CMU in 1995. My husband Ryan and I are the proud parents of Thomas, Carter and Ryan Jr. We enjoy sports of all kinds, especially if our kids are participating. Our family has been vacationing on Drummond Island every summer for about 15 years...we love it up there.
