
Attention cross county athletes- A message from your coaches...
High school and middle school summer cross country workouts (non-mandatory but highly encouraged) begin on Monday, June 9th.
MS/ HS XC will be meeting at the high school cross country course Monday through Thursday at 7 pm and Saturdays at 9 am at Deerfield park.
All athletes received the coach's contact information at the meeting last Wednesday. If you want a schedule of the training for the days because you can’t make It, please reach out to your coach.

The Middle School Track & Field Team competed this evening at the Mid Michigan MEGASTAR Meet in Shepherd. This is a meet that you must qualify for and features hundreds of top athletes from schools across the state.
-Avery Schultz had a PR in the shot put, throwing 32’ 2”.
-Grady Gatrell placed 5th overall in 55M hurdles and placed 3rd overall in 200M hurdles, with a time of 26.83- setting a new school record!
-Cylie Tillman had an incredible night with a trifecta of medals. She ran a PR in the 100M, placing 6th, ran a PR in 400M, placing 5th and placed 4th in the 200M.

Attention all Middle School and High School students that are interested in joining the cross country team next fall.
There will be a meeting in Ms. Gohs's room during the extended lunch time on Wednesday, June 4.
You will have the chance to meet your new coaches and learn about the summer running program.
There is pizza provided for all that are in attendance, so we encourage all students that are considering running to join us!

Varsity Track & Field States Recap:
Bryn Gilde- 3rd in Discus and NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 116-03. The record was previously set by Kristen Pasch in 2005 with a throw of 115-03.
Aaron Locke- 5th in the 800m with a time of 1:58.79 and A NEW SCHOOL RECORD. Aaron broke his previous 800m he set last season. He also tied for 6th in pole vault today.
Kate Schultz- 8th in Shot Put with a put of 30-00.25.
Landon Davis- new PR in the 100m - 11.47
Bree Locke - solid 800m then recovered quickly and ran a great 4x400 leg
Molly Trommater, Jo Hubble, Eden Strong- very solid 4x400 legs and gave their all!
Lily Gross- our alternate for the 4x400- continued with all workouts and possibly got whiplash from “we might need you, no we are good, ope….. 😬” Thanks for being a team player!!

Last night the Middle School Boys & Girls Track & Field Teams competed at the Coleman Invite.
The girls team had great performance throughout the Coleman Invite. Highlights include: Olivia Krueger had a big PR in the 1 mile and medaled in all 3 events, Lily Wilson PR'd and medaled in both the 100m and 200m, Carys Milett took 4th in the 200m hurdles, McKinley Neal placed 5th in shot put and 7th in high jump, Madalyn Finnerty took 2nd in the 70m, Aylin Reihl placed 7th in the 70m, Rylinn Pastotnik PR'd and medaled in both long jump and the 200m, and Paris Knickerbocker finished 6th in the 400m.
The boys team took home medals in nearly every event. Alden Zeien qualified for Megastar in long jump with a new PR, Conley Bland and Landyn Hadder each had PR's in the 800. Parker Fair placed and medaled in his long jump debut. Greg Martin had a PR in pole vault and Ryder Sternquist medaled in all 3 of his events. The regular season for track is now complete, great work this season!

Due to the threat of poor weather conditions, the home Varsity Baseball & Softball game vs. Lake City has been moved up to 3:30 PM.
Just a reminder that we will be honoring Seniors immediately following the conclusion of Game 2 in each game.

Last night the Middle School Boys & Girls Track and Field Teams traveled to Evart to competed in the Highland Conference Championships.
The Lady Aggies took 5th overall out of 9 teams. Medalists include: Cylie Tilmann won both the 200m and 400m, Reegan Higgins took 5th in the 200m hurdles, Madalyn Finnerty finished 4th in the 70m, Avery Schultz placed 3rd in shot put, and the 4x200m relay team of Madalyn Finnerty, Rylinn Pastotnik, Aylin Reihl, and Cylie Tilmann finished 2nd. Finally, after only one week of training with pole vault, Aloise DeVos and Tessa Goffnet tied for 5th jumping 5’ and Reegan Higgins placed 2nd jumping 6’3”.
Highlights for the boys team include Sawyer Trommater taking 3rd in the 400, Landyn Hadder 3rd place in the mile and 2nd in the 800, Alden Zeien took 2nd in the 70 and 3rd in 200 and long jump. The team of the Baumann Brothers, Cole Millerov and Conley Bland had a PR in the 2-mile relay and placed 2nd. Grady Gatrell won the 55 hurdles and shot put. Liam Millerov medaled in both hurdles and Cole Millerov had PRs in two events and lastly, Ben Levesque had a 2.5 foot PR in shot put.
Great job to all athletes who competed last night!
