Mrs. Kauppi has been an elementary teacher at Beal City since 2001. She has taught preschool, first grade, fourth grade and a third/fourth grade split class. Mrs. Kauppi is a graduate of Beal City High School and has been a lifelong community member. She has earned degrees from both Central Michigan University (B.S. in Elementary Education, and B.S. in Child Development) and Marygrove College (M.A in Elementary Education). Mrs. Kauppi lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, Phil and the School Therapy Dog, Blue. She has three sons, Zach, Gabe, and Ben. She loves watching live sports, listening to music, reading, spending time with her extended family, traveling, and watching reality television. She has traveled to several states in the U.S. and visited 19 countries around the world. Mrs. Kauppi is very proud to live and work in such a caring, and supportive community full of tradition.
