About Us - Background, Board Members

Background

  • In 2009, the Beal City Education Foundation (BCEF) was established with one goal. To provide a scholarship for every graduating Beal City student attending college, trade school, and have added enlisting in the military.  The foundation is not funded in any way by Beal City Public Schools, but the benefits are 100% for Beal City students.  The foundation is funded by donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events.  You fund it!  Please take a moment and review the past recipients of the Aggie of Excellence scholarship?  We have grown from one recipient in 2009 who received $250 to 10 recipients in 2021 who each received $500!  We are getting closer to our goal but still have a long way to reach our goal.  Please review the fundraising opportunities link to see how you can be a part of this exciting opportunity to help the graduating students of Beal City Public Schools!

What is a foundation?

  • A foundation is a nonprofit corporation that makes grants to individuals for charitable purposes.  Your contribution to the BCEF is permanently endowed, which means it will never be spent.  The Mt Pleasant Area Community Foundation (MPACF) invests all of the funds for the BCEF.  The earnings from investments are used to award the Aggie of Excellence scholarships and Teacher Enrichment grants.
