Ms. Maxon is originally from Traverse City. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a major in Language Arts, minor in Child Development, and a Master’s Degree in Classroom Teaching. She spent the first 18 years of her educational career teaching Kindergarten at Beal City Schools. In 2010, Ms. Maxon moved up to First Grade, where she continues to teach to this day. Ms. Maxon has two boys, Eric and Jason, both of whom attended Beal City Schools. Ms. Maxon loves music, dancing, camping, boating, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite vacation spot is Camp Hayo-Went-Ha on Torch Lake, where she often spends a week at Family Camp with family and friends each summer. She lives by the mottos “Each for All and All for Each” and “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.”
