Mrs. Smith – 2nd Grade
Mrs. Smith has been teaching at Mayes Elementary since 1995. She has taught Preschool, Developmental Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and currently 2nd grade.
Mrs. Smith received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree both from Central Michigan University.
She resides with her family in Mt. Pleasant. She and her husband, Mike, have two children, Zach and Kara. Zach is attending Western Michigan University, while Kara is a student at Mt. Pleasant High School.
Mrs. Smith grew up in Oscoda, a small town on Lake Huron, where her family once owned and operated a fishery business at the mouth of the AuSable River.
Whenever she can find the time, Mrs. Smith enjoys traveling, spending time with family, golfing, and scrapbooking. Her favorite sport to watch is hockey – GO WINGS!
Mrs. Smith has always loved teaching at Beal City! The wonderful staff, supportive parents, and great students are something she looks forward to year after year.
