Deputy Jason Kenney - School Liaison Officer
I am Deputy Jason Kenney and I am the current School Liaison Officer. I also share my time with Shepherd Public School and Morey Schools. I was hired by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department in 1997 as a Road Patrol Deputy and have been with the Youth Services Unit since June of 2007. I am a Crime Scene Investigator/Evidence Technician and I have also been a member of the Isabella County Emergency Services Team for 11 years.
As the Liaison Officer, I will be spending time in the classroom instructing the students in T.E.A.M. (Teaching, Education, and Mentoring) curriculum with presentations in areas such as safety, drug awareness, bullying, and laws. Also, I will be working with the school administrators to help keep the school safe, which includes preparing and implementing various emergency drills throughout the year. In addition to the time that I will be spending within the school, I will be present at numerous sporting events and after school activities.
I will be available to all students, parents, and staff to answer questions. If you ever have any questions regarding school related matters or events that are happening at home, please do not hesitate to contact me or the Youth Services Unit at (989) 779-5135.
