HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CYLIE TILMANN! WE HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY, CYLIE!

TODAY IN SPORTS:

The JV Baseball game scheduled for today against Houghton  Lake has been canceled.

The softball team picked up two wins over Central Montcalm last night, 16-2 and 10-6. Macy Johnston was the winning pitcher in game one striking out 11. Lauryn Licari went 3 for 3, Macy was 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s, and Lauren Gross was 3 for 4. Emily Taylor and Dakota Dodak each had a home run. Emma Block was the winning pitcher in game two giving up no hits in 1.2 innings of work. Lauren Gross struck out 8 in the 3.1 innings she pitched. Nevaeh Welsh went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and a home run.

Last night the middle school boys ran hard to secure wins against both Pine River and Manton.  Highlights include Braxton winning all 3 of his events and setting a new school record in the 70 meter dash.  Owen Zeien, Brody Weber and Jarett Latham all got PRs in their sprints.  Lastly, Dylan Massey got a PR in high jump and scored valuable team points.  Tomorrow the boys travel to Breckenridge where they hope to secure more Megastar qualifying times.

The middle school girls track team won both sides of their tri-meet against Pine River and Manton last night. Congratulations to the event winners: Allie Reihl in the 70m dash, Dylan Gillespie in the 400m run, Addison Gross in the 200m hurdles, Ella Pastotnik in long jump, and the 4x200m relay team of Avery, Brynn, Caleigh, and Ella.
