Middle School/High School Announcements - 4/17/24

TODAY IN SPORTS:

4:15 - 7th/8th Grade Track -  Away at Evart against Evart and Houghton Lake - Bus departs at 2:30 - Students dismissed at 2:20

The softball team improved to 5-2 on the season with two wins over Gladwin last night, 9-2 and 14-3. In game one, Dakota Dodak earned the win in the circle striking out 7. Dakota also went 3 for 3 at the plate. Madason Fisher and Lauren Gross each had 2 RBI’s. Macy Johnston was the winning pitcher in game two giving up 1 hit in 3 innings. Lauren threw the other 3 innings and struck out 6. Emily Taylor went 3 for 5 with a home run and a grand slam. Arryana Brown also went 3 for 5. Hailey Hulliberger had a triple in the game.

The JV baseball team  won 2 games against Mt Pleasant last night. Garrison, Cooper, Jake, Huntor and Will all had doubles on the night. The entire staff was utilized on the mound allowing just 3 runs in the 2 games. The offense racked up a total of 23 runs in the 2 games. Go, Aggies! 

Seniors: Please get your baby picture, senior picture and plans for after school to Dylan Elias or Mr. Hoeberling ASAP!

Seniors: You can now pick up your cap and gown from Diane in the office! Stop in before school, during passing time or at lunch. Please take your gown out of the bag to make sure it is the right size. If there are any issues with the cap or gown, please let Mrs. Millerov know ASAP.

The Spanish club is reducing the price of their awesome bracelets to $5! See Senora if you are interested!

Report cards are going home this week. Your second hour teacher will hand them out to you today. If you are dual enrolled or online second hour, see Diane for your report card. 

No detention or tutoring today due to staff meeting. 

Seniors: There is a special promotion happening now regarding your FASFA. If you complete your FASFA before May 1st, and show Mrs. Millerov your confirmation email, you will be treated to Olive Garden for lunch on May 2nd! See Mrs. Millerov with any questions.

The GI-Tech Center is hosting their summer camps again this year on June 10th-13th from 9:00 a.m. - noon.  Registration is free and is open to students currently in grades 6-8. Deadline to sign up is May 17th. Students can get hand-on experience in the areas of digital media, marketing, graphic design, small engines and more!  Space is limited.  See Diane in the office for more information on how to register.

Permission slips for the 7th grade field trip to the tech center are due to Mrs. Vessel by Friday April 19th.

Prom tickets are on sale now. Please see Mrs. Vessel to purchase your ticket. Cost is $25 per person. Prom will be held May 4th from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Little Flower Barn in Lake Isabella.  If you plan to bring a guest from another school (or an underclassmen), please see Diane in the office for a guest pass.  Passes are due Friday, April 26th.
