Middle School/High School Announcements - 1-23-20

7th & 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball – Home against Houghton Lake

6:00 – JV/Varsity Girls’ Basketball – Home against NMC

The Freshmen Basketball Team defeated Clare last night 60-42. Leading scorers were Carter Fussman with 22 points, Kadin Straus with 12 points, Grant Lorenz with 12 points, Braylon Zuker with 4 points, Justin Recker with 4 points and Sawyer Scully with 4 points.

The Boy’s JV basketball team lost a tough game to Clare last night 39-33. Brayden Haynes led the team with 12 points and Konnor Wilson added 10 points.

Detention today will be held in Ms. Spry’s room. If you have hours to serve, please be in her classroom by 3:00.

Middle school students: you need to start picking up after yourselves in the Aggie Café. Also, please pick up your books outside of the cafe doors. Please start showing some respect for your school as this has gotten way out of hand!!!! 

ATTENTION ALL ON- LINE STUDENTS: Your on-line class is NOT a free hour. Attendance will be taken and if you are not in the library you will be marked absent unless other arrangements have been made with Mrs. Millerov or Kelly.

There will be an SAT study session this Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the computer lab. Mr. Freeze will be supervising this session.

There will be an informational middle school robotics meeting on January 29th at 5:30 in Mr. Carter’s room. This meeting includes any 5th or 6th grade lego league students who are interested in joining the middle school robotics team!

There is a Segment I driver’s training opportunity coming up in February. Any student who will be 14 years and 8 months old by February 3rd is eligible to attend. Classes start February 3rd and are held Monday – Friday from 6:16-8:15 in the high school computer lab. See Diane in the office for a flier with registration information. Also, there is a Segment II class being held on February 11, 12 & 13 from 3:15-5:15 as well.

The NHS volleyball tournament has been rescheduled for noon on Sunday, February 9th. Get your team together and come join the fun! Staff & alumni teams are welcome to enter. Three staff and three alumni per team, please. Student teams can be comprised of no more than three current varsity volleyball players.

Do you love to play hoops? Are you looking to get some exercise while having fun? If so, join us for some street basketball in the big gym on Sunday afternoons. This is open to all parents and students who are interested. Check out our facebook page at “BC Street Brawl” for details. This Sunday the 26 we will be playing from noon – 2:00 and after that the time will be from 1:00-3:00. Come join the fun!
