Oscar tickets are on sale in the High School Office.  They are $10.  VIP tickets can be purchased through Kurt Gross for $15.

 

The Beal City Boys Track Team lost to the Pine River Bucks last night by the score of 84 – 64. Hayden Huber took first place in the 100m (11.49), 200m (24.63) and was part of the winning 800m relay team of Kevin Straus, Billy Chilman and Alex Matthews. Matthews also placed first in 300mH, Nash Reeves took a first in the shot put (40’05.50) and Nick Pung won in the 1600m (5:08.38). Second place finishes were Matthews in the 200m (26.10), Nick Pung 3200m (11:21.60), Hayden Huber in the long jump (18’00.50) and Ethan Schafer in the 800m (2:29.50). Third place finishes were Tyrel Hoover in the discus (84’05.00), E. Schafer 1600m (5:23.94) and the 3200m (11:38.40), B. Chilman in the long jump (17’11.00) and the 400m (1:02.7), S. Mauldin in the 100m (12.92) and Kurt Straus 300mH. Fourth place finishes include N. Reeves –discus (82’04.00),  Navid Cole-300mH, S. Mauldin-200m (28.67), Luke Schafer -100m (13.75) and Tristan Smith-shot put (32’05.50). Good job! Great effort!

 

The Lady Aggies Track Team opened pursuit of a third straight Highland Conference Championship with a 103 – 60 dual meet win over Pine River last night at home. Beal City won 12 of the 17 events, including all 5 field events. Addie Schumacher took three field events with wins in the High Jump (5’ 0”), Discus (106’ 11”), and Shot Put (31’ 11”). Hannah Steffke was also a triple winner as she topped the 1600m (6:23.5), the 800m (2:51.4), and joined Hannah Neyer, Anna Reihl, and Emily Steffke in winning the 3200m Relay in 11:31.7. Hannah Neyer, who added a win in the 3200m Run (14:09.8), and Anna, who also contributed to the winning 1600m Relay (4:56.4), each had two wins. Other double winners included Mel Schafer (Pole Vault, 300m Hurdles), Nicole Gross (Long Jump, 1600m Relay), and Kaitlynn Frayre (100m Hurdles, 1600m Relay). Grace Schafer joined Nicole, Kaitlynn, and Anna on the victorious 1600m Relay. It was an excellent win on a RAW night and speaks to the toughness of this group. Beal City will join 15 other schools at the Clare Invitational on Friday.
