Fundraiser to Support the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers Fund
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Beal City Girls Basketball Program is having a fundraiser to benefit the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund. The primary purpose of the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund is to help veterans in Michigan who return from the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns and find themselves in need of support and assistance. The Girls Basketball Program will be raising money by selling military green t-shirts for $10.00 throughout the month of January and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund. In honor of the foundation the JV and Varsity Girls Basketball teams will be wearing military green warm-ups for each home game during the month of February (2/19 vs. Pine River and 2/22 vs. McBain).
The donation ceremony will be during halftime of the Varsity Girls Basketball Game on February 22nd when the Lady Aggies host McBain. Lynn Phillips, a board member of the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund will be attending the game and accepting the donation.
