Meet Mrs. Jill Cotter!

Mrs. Jill Cotter has worked at Mayes Elementary School since 2005 as a paraprofessional in our preschool program.  Prior to that time, she was a substitute parapro and secretary with Beal City after taking off two and a half years to be with her boys.  She also worked for Krapohl Ford Lincoln Mercury for nine years in the Payroll and Employee Benefits Office.

Mrs. Cotter graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School.  She attended CMU for two years and is currently working on her CDA certificate.  Mrs. Cotter lives in Weidman with her two boys and Shadow, their Golden Retriever.  Nathan and Noah, Mrs. Cotter’s sons attend Mayes Elementary School.

Mrs. Cotter enjoys traveling.  She loves spending time with her boys and other family members, especially at the beach and going boating on torch Lake.  Visiting her sister and family in the U.P. is another favorite destination.  Travel highlights include two trips to Disney World with Nathan and Noah, and going away on weekends with friends.

Mrs. Cotter has many interests and hobbies.  She enjoys reading children’s books to her kids.  Her favorite pastimes include shopping and scrapbooking.  Softball, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, and running quad runners are outdoor activities the entire family enjoys.  Mrs. Cotter likes to listen to Country, Hip Hop, and Oldies music.  Pasta salad is her favorite food.  She plans to continue her education, travel to Florida, and do some remodeling to her home in the future.  In the meantime, she’s always up for a good laugh.
