Hi, my name is Deputy Kevin F. Dush, and I'm
the new school liaison officer, replacing Deputy Rich Duynslager
who retired this summer. I have been a road patrol deputy
since 2004, and this summer I attended training to become a school
liaison officer. I officially joined the Youth Services Unit,
under Sergeant Doug LaLone, this fall at the beginning of the
school year. I work Monday through Friday in the schools, but
share my time between Beal City, St. Joseph the Worker, Weidman
Elementary, and Rosebush Elementary.
I will be spending time in the classrooms teaching the T.E.A.M.
(Teaching, Educating, and Mentoring) Curriculum, which includes
presentations on safety, drug awareness, laws, and more.

for more information on the T.E.A.M. program which is trained
through the Michigan State Police Academy.
Besides teaching T.E.A.M, I work behind the scenes with the school
administrators to help keep your school safe, including planning
and implementing the different emergency drills throughout the
year. I am also available to all students, parents, and staff
to answer questions or concerns. It doesn't matter if it's
school related, or something happening at home, please do not
hesitate to contact me. You may e-mail me at kfdush@isabellacounty.org or
contact me at 989-621-7510.
